In 2017, Patty Jenkins made history as the first female to direct a big-budget studio superhero movie with DC Comics’ WONDER WOMAN, and she continues to break barriers with the recent announcement that she will helm the new Star Wars film, ROGUE SQUADRON. Join us for a special event during the 2021 Sundance Film Festival as we explore Patty’s journey from independent to big-budget filmmaking. Beginning with her award-winning directorial debut MONSTER, to her newest feature, WONDER WOMAN 1984, we’ll discuss how she selects projects, the importance of a character’s journey, dive into her prep process, and hear her tips for how to execute a memorable scene. This intimate conversation will trace where Patty started, how she got there, her evolution as an artist, and the vision she sees for the future.
This event is free and open to both 2021 Sundance Film Festival and Sundance Co//ab audiences.
All Sundance Co//ab webinars are recorded and will be available for all registrants after the live event. Please allow up to 24 hours after the live event for the recording to be posted.
