Sascha Lourdes is a Haitian-American, nonbinary visual artist and filmmaker from Miami, Florida. Their work challenges colonial, cis-heteronormative ideas of time and space, using painting, animation, digital art, and film to explore nonlinear storytelling as a path to queer and Black liberation. A Dartmouth College graduate with honors, Sascha majored in Film & Media Studies with minors in Digital Arts and African & African American Studies. They are the inaugural recipient of the Dartmouth's Project Greenlight Award, a Warner Bentley Fellow, and a Heiman Rosenthal Award winner. Their short film, Munchiez, premiered at NoBudge NYC, was a Jury Award Nominee in the Experimental Visions Program at NFFTY 2026, and is Official Selection at CineYouth as part of the Chicago International Film Festival. Sascha was also named an Emerging Filmmaking Winner at the White River Indie Festival.
