About this Video
When I was 15 years old, a close friend from school suddenly passed away. Compounded by grief and the lack of resources and support available at school, it took me many years to come to terms with what had happened. So when writing Type of Rain, I wanted to create an raw, authentic portrayal of adolescent grief, particularly the impact of losing a close friend as a teenager. And while this may be a singular experience, I wanted to show the universal benefits of cold water therapy (something I practice!) as evidence that things truly can get better.
