Mira, a young Māori woman, is stuck on a long car ride with her estranged father on the way to her grandfather’s tangi (funeral). Blaming her distance from her language, culture, and family on him, the two struggle to speak without it escalating into conflict. As grief, guilt, and resentment surface, they are forced to confront the distance between them.
