I chose to tell this story as my father left when I was very young - all I had left was the home movies that preserved our relationship. The film brought these childhood memories to life through a combination of projection, practical effects and home archival footage, creating a liminal physical space that emulates the past. The film explores themes of identity, abandonment, memories, reflection and introspection. It challenges our feelings of nostalgia, and encapsulates a feeling of wishing to return to something that is now obsolete or irretrievable.
