About this submission
This work originated as a musique concrète experiment in 2005. Using a handheld tape recorder, I wandered through the practice rooms of the music school, capturing fragments of sound from my daily environment. The piece features a dramatically slowed recording of myself playing a Kreutzer Etude in a private lesson, the resonant swirls of a Thunder Tube spring drum, and an assortment of other sonic curiosities—slowed down, sped up, and reversed to reveal unexpected textures and timbres.
