About this submission

This scene was really fun to work with. Every audio element used is foley that I recorded around my house and a nearby public park by employing the use of things like a bag of sweet potatoes hitting the ground, the static of a live guitar cable, and nails screeching on a wall. My intention was to build a soundscape that played with the digital motif presented in the description of the film. Making use of EQ's, reverb, and panning, among other effects, I was able to create my own interpretation of the movement through the space that was presented visually in the sample. I also chose to play with the plot/synopsis that was written in the contest prompt, and added some vocal layers that further cemented the idea that these ominous characters were being mind-controlled and directed to carry out their evil.
