Less interested in the act of crime than the mind that carries it, "The World Doesn’t Ask Why" follows individuals who live and work in the shadows of violence. As they move through ordinary routines, cleaning, commuting, watching television, and talking about everyday life, the film quietly observes how people coexist with society while standing alongside or against the law.
