Being a teenage girl means learning to monitor yourself early. Your body, your appetite, your reflection — everything becomes something to manage. I’m 19, and I wanted to make a film that exaggerates this constant self-surveillance until it becomes absurd.
The comedy isn’t designed to soften the subject or offer reassurance. It’s a way of exposing how ridiculous — and how violent — these expectations are when taken seriously. It also frames the beauty industry itself as an irrational farce. Enjoy!
