Jack Wingate is a Queer filmmaker based in Brooklyn, New York originally from Tallahassee, Florida. Wingate was selected as a 2021 Parlamentarisches Patenschafts fellow where he worked at the ZKU residency in Berlin. During his tenure he created documentaries centered around urbanism and community, culminating in the short film Studio Ukraine. The film later went on to screen internationally at the Berlin Between Bridges Exhibition, South Georgia Film Fest, and the New York Short Film Fest. Wingate is a member of Video Consortium and founded the Int./Ext. Writer's group currently on its third season. He is in Post-production of his first narrative short The Undies Aisle which tells a comedic perspective on coming out.
