I took a film class about 1960s-1970s New Hollywood. I found that specific time in film history to be fascinating. I especially connected with the recurring themes of paranoia, voyeurism, and reflexivity that appeared in many of the films of the period. In today's digital age and political landscape, I felt those ideas were maybe even more relevant now. I wanted to experiment with those themes of paranoia, voyeurism, and reflexivity in a modern setting.
