About this submission

The Katan Valley is an eternally relevant story about communities being forgotten in the name of 'progress.' I am extremely interested in telling stories that highlight the cyclical nature of history. The memory of the town of Monticello has almost been completely forgotten, and I believe it is a story that more people should know. The people left in the wake of American expansion is a theme that today's audiences will highly respond to, and in this moment where water has become so politicized, has a new level of relevancy.
