A young Victorian man named Isaac is undertaking the perilous journey to return home to his wife. The Scottish landscape and weather throw up many challenges. On his way, he stumbles upon a dark castle and knocks on the door, ready to beg for refuge from the violent storm. The strange, otherworldly inhabitant, a man named Edger, draws Isaac into a dark, twisting conversation which challenges Isaac‘s grip on reality and makes him question what life and what is death.
