"The City And..." is driven by the question: how do cities shape this story? what can we glean from watching someone in public? We only have access to them as a passerby in the street or supermarket would. It's a minimal narrative, A girl goes to a bus station to meet someone, and they do not arrive. Using an approach mixing documentary, experimental, and fiction approaches developed in collaboration between the film's director, Noah Gehman, and its lead actor, Noa Blanche Beschorner. What arises from this process is a meditative and surprising experience, both observational and expressive, minimalist and experiential.
