About this Live Online Event
Few films sparked more spirited conversations at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival than The Invite. A chamber dramedy shot on 35mm film, the film marks Olivia Wilde’s third feature as a director. The film unfolds over one enigmatic night and stars Wilde alongside her all-star ensemble: Seth Rogen, Penelope Cruz, and Edward Norton.
In this live, online session, Wilde will join her Emmy-winning cinematographer Adam Newport-Berra (The Studio, Club Kid) to unpack their visual approach to The Invite. The pair will screen clips and share behind-the-scenes insights on the film’s production. Attendees can expect discussion on the film’s distinct visual language, 35mm cinematography, and how they rendered a single-setting, dialogue-heavy script into a rich cinematic experience. Glenn Kiser, Director of the Dolby Creator Lab, will moderate the conversation.
