Nothing shifted my life and relationship with my father more than when I told him I was moving half way across the country for school. At the time, we clashed because he couldn't understand why I needed to leave home but over time he understood why it was so necessary. This story is inspired by that. Sometimes when you grow up with codependent relationships with your parents, it can be hard to be your own person or find your way when your way.
