In this session, you will discover how LLMs (Language Learning Models) can support your creative process in ideation, research, and drafting while maintaining authorship of your work. Filmmakers Bryan Hill and Julius Pryor IV will walk you through using Generative AI tools as an assistant to help streamline your journey from script to pre-production.

Bryan Edward Hill is a screenwriter, filmmaker, and comic book author whose work blends genre storytelling with emotional and psychological depth. His screenwriting credits include BITTER ROOT (dir. Ryan Coogler / Proximity Media), and the untitled Prince biopic (dir. Ryan Coogler / Proximity Media). For television, he has written for TITANS (WB / HBO Max), and in comics, he has authored acclaimed runs of BLADE and BLACK PANTHER for Marvel.His first feature as a director, ARCHANGEL, is currently in post-production (Image Nation / Spooky Pix). Julius Pryor IV is a filmmaker, producer, and creative strategist. A graduate of Morehouse College and NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Julius has spent the last decade developing original work across both the narrative and branded space. His credits include two feature films that world premiered at Sundance: HOW TO TELL YOU’RE A DOUCHEBAG (dir. Tahir Jetter) and CRONIES (dir. Michael Larnell), executive produced by Spike Lee. He recently produced THE VACATION, winner of the 2023 Sundance Short Film Special Jury Award, which is currently being developed into a feature. He also produced FEATHERS, written and directed by A.V. Rockwell, funded by Tribeca’s "Through Her Lens" program and world premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Katherine "Kat" Street is an LA-based award-winning filmmaker and Philadelphia native. A cinephile at heart, she writes female-driven stories with complex (oftentimes damaged) main characters, centered around self-discovery, self-love, and belonging. She has written numerous short-form projects, including original shorts, pilots, and features. She wrote and directed the dramatic short film “Cycles,” which received festival recognition in both acting and best romantic short. She also created her award-winning flagship web series "The New Adult,” which is currently streaming on Kweli TV. Kat is a Stowe Story Lab SAGIndie Fellow and a participant in the BlackMagic Collective Emerging Filmmakers Initiative. In 2021, she founded the Black Film Challenge, a project that showcases filmmakers of African descent and the movies they create. She earned her BFA from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a concentration in Cinematography and has literary representation with Yak Yak Mgmt. more...
