About this submission

We all invest undue importance in things that, from the outside, may seem trivial or silly. For Rose and Darby, performing Shakespeare to small, unforgiving crowds at public parks feels like the end-all, be-all of their existence--so much so that a bad show leads to the near-dissolution of their relationship. Shooting this film as a mockumentary emphasizes the inherent humor in the amateur nature of the art being created by these two people--but also drives home the idea that we can derive meaning and fulfillment from even the most unexpected of places.
