A pubescent Latina's Three Kings Day lunch (in Puerto Rico) is interrupted when her Mother arrives to reclaim her family.
Featured alongside Michelle Obama in the 2018 PBS Documentary, aptly titled, "Beating The Odds"--Elaine Del Valle was born and bred in the crime capital of New York City-- Brownsville Brooklyn. In her autobiographical, off Broadway, one-woman stage play, "Brownsville Bred", Elaine chronicled her own coming-of-age; The New York Times calling it "From Girlhood Trials to Onstage Triumph". "...a big part of Ms. Del Valle’s message is that each person is in charge of making his or her dreams a reality. “It’s not who’s going to let you” achieve success, she said. “It’s who’s going to stop you. Just let it happen.” Elaine is a Telly award winning producer and has won several festival awards for the short films she has written and directed included Best Director, Best Short Film and Best Performance. Elaine's goal is to grow through learning and doing, she is currently enrolled in master classes to help adapt her award winning stage play into a screenplay, with an aim of making it her directorial debut in a feature film. In the meantime, Elaine is in preproduction to direct her third short film in Summer 2019. When Elaine is not making her own films, she works as a professional casting director helping to place talent in the work of others.
