About this submission
This film was made to speak to the silences that we universally experience in relating to family members. I believe we lose people sometimes without the ability to understand how much value they added to our lives until after they are gone. Loss can fuel our empathy and informs us of why we exist, for who do we exist, and the use of our autonomy - suffering often leads into discussions of reality of a God and God's benevolence. My further work deals with themes around women of color bodies in Faith, and racialized misperceptions of the body in Christianity.
