Holly M. Kaplan is a writer and director born and raised in New York City of mixed Cantonese heritage. Her work has screened at over 50 film festivals and was featured on the Shiny Awards Creator List. She is a 2025 BendFilm: Basecamp Fellow and an alumnus of Stowe Story Labs. In 2022, Holly was selected for NALIP and Netflix's “Narrative Short Incubator for Women of Color” for SUNFLOWER GIRL. She is currently developing the feature-length script of SUNFLOWER GIRL.
