About this Video
I chose to tell this story because it centers women whose everyday decisions quietly reshape conservation and community life in the high Himalayas. As a filmmaker from the region, I am drawn to stories told from within—where change unfolds through lived experience rather than spectacle. Shen-Mos of Kibber captures a rare moment of transition, as fear turns into coexistence, and women emerge as stewards of both land and tradition. At a time of rapid environmental and social change, this story felt urgent to preserve with honesty, trust, and care.
