About this submission
Set on the streets of Los Angeles, this short documentary reimagines a Serve robotics delivery robot as the subject of a nature program. Through deadpan narration and observational footage, the film follows the robot’s daily “migration” patterns, moments of peril, and surprising resilience as it navigates a city that barely notices it. By treating a piece of delivery tech with the same reverence usually reserved for wildlife, the film invites viewers to see an overlooked part of urban life with humor, empathy, and new curiosity—revealing how even our most mundane tools become characters in the ecosystems we build.

I’m Claire Loudis, a filmmaker and post-production producer based in Los Angeles. I earned my BFA in Film Production from Chapman University and built my early career in music videos and commercials, where I learned how to make ideas move quickly, collaboratively, and with style. Over the past few years, I’ve expanded into post-supervising independent features, including Didi, Lurker, If I Go, and currently: Club Kid.
Working in post has shaped me as a director more than anything else, it’s where I learned rhythm, emotional architecture, and how every choice eventually lands on the screen. It taught me to direct with intention, to build toward moments that truly matter, and to collaborate across every discipline with clarity and empathy.
When I tell stories, I am drawn to fantasy and magical realism as a way to create metaphors for lived experiences. While what I write my seem otherworldly, it is always grounded in the relationships I have had myself. By fantasizing them, I'm able to be more truthful with both myself and others. more...
