While I was studying film heritage and working with archival practices, i thought about my mother’s village who was completely destroyed in 1983. What do we do when history is erased? How do we “preserve” something that is not there anymore. That’s why I decided to persuade this project. To attempt to imagine a past, perhaps I would find something.
