I had been struggling with how personal my films had become and the insecurity that comes with parading my vulnerable experiences on screen. I had been purposefully trying to write things with more distance from myself but realised that's not what filmmaking has ever been about. Therefore I made what is arguably my most personal film that is subtextual about my strained relationship with my older brother. I made this film in a cathartic way and to remind myself the strength of leaning into vulnerability rather than shying away from it.
