I made this film to treasure my memories and sincerely apologize to my siblings. It’s a deeply personal story inspired by my own journey. After my mom passed away, I yearned to study in the U.S. and aspired to become a strong, powerful woman like her.
I buried myself in schoolwork, trying to numb the pain. As the oldest of eight, navigating personal desires and pain was overwhelming. I wasn’t always the big sister they needed, yet their love never wavered. Even when I forgot my own birthday, they remembered—showing me love when I was too lost to see it.
