Neptune in Capricorn is a smaller part of my larger film idea “Cenozoic.” This story is a video that plays on a fictitious television channel called Black Ppl I Know Network, a TV station fabled for its sleight of hand. Inspired by how aesthetics influence our environment, I’m analyzing how my community disproportionately faces repercussions based on their appearance, while confronting the implications of "the beige epidemic,” and how this trend toward optical uniformity might relate to a larger issue of colonialism and neutrality. Black joy truimphs subjugation and persists into a future where skin is not a border.
