The idea came to me in 2022, when Elon Musk bought Twitter, turning it into a platform that amplified toxic masculinity, misinformation, and dehumanization. This climate inspired a story about Ben, a lonely 30-year-old shaped by online masculinist ideology, bitterness, and isolation.
Though he believes the world rejected him, his solitude is self-built. Set in a paranoid, sleepless New York, Ben is faced with the need to help someone: he must rediscover empathy. This film is in echo of Trump's America, where people have never been this divided. I wanted to write a character that would do the right thing.
