About this submission
Comedy and horror sound strange until you’ve lived in Colombia. Since I was little, I’ve been obsessed with the horror genre. Movies were tricky: I couldn’t go alone, and every time I asked my mom to come with me, she’d say the same thing: If I want to be scared, I’ll turn on the TV and watch the news from Colombia.”
This short is a love letter to the kid I used to be—the one who stayed up late watching ghost shows. Terrifying him, but not in the way he expected, but in the way my mother feared so much...
