On the brink of suicide, a depressed middle aged woman is stopped by her younger self who emerges from her bedroom mirror to transport her back to her childhood bedroom and remind her of the inner child she has long forgotten.
Creator
Arabella Sharkey is a half-British, half-Taiwanese filmmaker. She was born in London and grew up in Hong Kong. She is a Senior at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she majors in Film & TV Production.
Arabella has interned at Full Picture, Warner Bros., and Partizan. She draws inspiration from the genre of magical realism and its ability to blend reality and fantasy.
The short films she has written and directed have been selected for and won awards at various film festivals, including the Beverly Hills Film Festival, NY Shorts International Film Festival, Big Apple Film Festival, and Tokyo International Short Film Festival. She also won the Bronze Award at the 2023 Hollywood Independent Filmmaker Awards & Festival. Additionally, two of her short films were screened at the AMC Theater in Times Square, NYC.
