"Made With Love" champions my struggles regarding validation and sexual orientation. Cooking has been my main creative outlet for 15 years. Starting so young pushed many expectations onto me that have manifested in my adult life as an insatiable need to perform. Banana bread became a high-stakes gamble with my self-worth on the line. Each burnt quiche proved I didn't deserve affection. What should have been a loving devotion of sustenance to my loved ones became a self-centered act of ego. My film reframes this struggle into a story where projection is telling and real feelings get hidden behind facades.
