I’ve always found The Yellow Wallpaper haunting. Its portrayal of isolation and psychological unraveling stayed with me for years. I made Lottie to explore how fear and silence can reshape a young person’s inner world. Through the eyes of a 15 year old girl, the film examines how attempts to protect someone can deepen their isolation. Using voyeuristic wides, Super 8 footage, and immersive sound, the story asks how we remember those who quietly slip away.
