I came of age during the COVID lockdown. And so the internet was a core part of my formative experience. It's where I told some of my first stories or lived vicariously through the stories of others. And horror has always been a comfort genre. Both the campy and the serious strains of genre cinema. I wanted to make a dreamy slice of life, where the same internet horror storytelling I grew up on could bleed into reality. A genre story that felt cozy and creepy.
