About this Video
I chose to tell this story because Krantikari(Revolutionary) emerges from a deep need to confront the silences around women’s safety and resistance in India. Set in pre-independence India, the film draws a parallel between colonial oppression and the everyday violence faced by women, highlighting how freedom remains incomplete when safety, dignity are denied.
Through this story, I wanted to reclaim forgotten courage and present resistance not as a loud rebellion, but as a quiet, human act of survival and defiance. Krantikari is my way of questioning whose stories get remembered in history and whose struggles are pushed into the shadows
