I was interested in making something at the intersection of memory, urbanisation, and the environment. At the same time, I wanted the film to feel deeply sensorial and meditative. Through the process, I became more attuned to my own film language while working on it. The process was intensely observational and entangled with the everyday politics of the city I reside in, Mumbai. The film for me is the first step towards a larger body of work, exploring the same themes, that I hope to develop further.
