Applying to the 2027 Sundance Institute Ignite Program
About this Insider Session
Sundance Collab Insider Sessions provide behind-the-scenes information and guidance on our Labs, grants and festivals. Sundance Institute staff will be on-hand to answer those not-so-frequently asked questions and help guide you through discovering and applying to the many programs and funds that the Institute offers.
The Sundance Institute Ignite program identifies and supports new voices and talent from the next generation of filmmakers by providing artistic and professional development to advance filmmakers to the next stage in their career. The yearlong Sundance Institute Ignite x Adobe Fellowship is open to emerging documentary and fiction filmmakers between ages 18 and 25. Join us for a direct Q&A with the Ignite program team and previous Ignite Alum, Harlan Banks (2025 Cohort), who will give you tips on how to make your work stand out. The deadline to submit your project is February 11, 2026 at 11 a.m. PT.
Sundance Institute Ignite is supported by Adobe and Arison Arts Foundation.
If you would benefit from an accommodation to fully participate in this event, please either submit a request here, contact us at (435) 776-7790, or email us at accessibility@sundance.org to discuss your specific requests. Every effort will be made to accommodate advance requests; however, requests made within 5 days of the event may not be guaranteed.
A recording of this Insider Session will be posted to Sundance Collab's Event Recording Library within two business days of the live event and will be available to view at no cost through February 11, 2026.
