I wanted to make this project because the journey of child soldiers moves me deeply. Behind the images we see are broken lives, stolen childhoods, but also an incredible strength to survive. I felt the need to tell the story of a child who is simply trying to reclaim his innocence. Giving a voice to those who are never heard — that’s what drove me to make this film.
