Friendships are everything to me. With Inertia, I’m trying to tackle this idea that even the most fleeting of friendships can have profound impacts on who you are as an individual. Inertia explores this through the concept of ‘aspiring for greatness’ and the pitfalls of having this mindset, especially in relation to the people around you. In principle seems exciting and adventurous, but the reality is much more lonely, unsatisfying, and condemning, than what it connotes on the outside. But the central idea of this film is friendship, and the importance it holds in who we are as people.
