“Home” is a reflective, intimate documentary that illustrates my upbringing and the places that shaped my sense of belonging. The film opens with a personal reflection of the number 21, shared across my birthday, my parents’ anniversary, my graduation, and the address number of my childhood home, before unfolding into a blend of 16mm footage and family archival material. As my family leaves our home in Orange County for a new life in Sacramento, memories of childhood and togetherness resurface, honoring where we came from and how we learn to carry home forward.
