Years ago, Sky abandoned his old life and retreated off the grid, living out of his car while working for the parks. He’s settled into a slower-paced rhythm with a makeshift family of fellow wanderers - until Hannah, his estranged childhood friend, asks to visit. Now pursuing her PhD, she wants to study Sky and his “alternative lifestyle” for her thesis. For the promise of a $1,000 stipend, Sky reluctantly agrees.
Sky fights to stay closed off, but the formerly inseparable friends can't help but untangle their past, drawn in to see if they can mend their deeply broken friendship.
