This story originates from a long-standing emotional issue for me. Being a deeply sensitive person, my birthday always intensified those feelings. Growing up in Argentina, January 27 always fell during summer vacation, when most people were away. I often spent it alone, and the thought that my friends and classmates would forget lingered in my mind in the days before. Moving to the U.S. changed this (my birthday is now in the middle of the semester), but that anxiety never fully disappeared. This project allowed me to explore this feeling, and I decided to cast my mom to explore it.
