When an Egyptian wife and mother, suffering from an abusive marriage, wants a divorce, her Islamic conservative parents side against her and with her husband who is determined to prevent her from keeping their young daughter. Fragile but determined, she has to go through a battle to prove that she doesn’t have to choose between motherhood and freedom. By doing so, she exposes the fragility of the patriarchal society
