Memories are like fragile pieces of glass. Sometimes they get covered with a heavy fog, trigger us, and sometimes they disappear completely. It wasn't until my grandmother got Alzheimer's that I realised how delicately connected memories and human relationships are. She'd feel lost while looking at me, which shattered me from the inside, but also made me contemplate what it must be like for her to know our relation, yet not remember a single thing about what shaped it. I witnessed the toll it was taking on everyone around her, and she noticed it. I wanted to capture that feeling.
