FLOOD is a poetic, movement-driven documentary that explores the queerness of nature through the lens of LGBTQ+ artists in the Philippines. The film centers 4 characters that explores how land and body are both sites of feeling, care and conflict, especially under the weight of colonial violence, ecological collapse, and gendered oppression. Queer Filipinx artists from the Philippines, Blaze Bayle (vogue dancer) Paula Bianca (aerialist, and underwater performer), Joyen Santos (filmmaker, dominatrix) and Camila Ashes (rollerskater), reclaim their relationships to self, land, body, and community, by bridging Afro-Asian histories through contemporary dance forms like vogue, pole, skating, and aerial performance.
