About this Video
As a half-Filipina, half-white filmmaker, balancing these cultures has dictated my art. I heard about Salvador and Marjorie’s love story for the first time in 2017, back when there was no information about them online. 9 years later, I am honored to tell a timeless story inspired by their memory. This short is a love letter to my Ilocano heritage, an homage to my parents, and a message of gratitude to them for fighting for love is love is love. I made this story to show that change is possible one step at a time.
