An intern working for a young, established female photographer becomes obsessed with a photo from a shoot he's excluded from. Lingering in the darkroom, he is unable to ignore his fixation, accidentally overdeveloping the image. He must now decide whether to leave it behind or keep it for himself to reclaim control over the moment he was denied. Surrendering to temptation, he unveils it to his circle of pseudo-artist friends, only to watch as they tear it apart, shattering not just the photograph but something deeper within the art.
