Croom Corridor follows a group of Black land stewards reclaiming a 15-mile stretch in Southern Maryland, home to one of the highest concentrations of Black-owned farms in the nation and a living archive of Black agrarian traditions. The film explores land scarred by centuries of systemic exploitation and the farmers’ commitment to preserving cultural practices while building value-driven businesses.
Operating within a capitalist agricultural system, they turn to cooperative models to sustain and regenerate their land and communities. Croom Corridor captures their spiritual connection to the land and each other, guided by ancestral wisdom and an urgent need for healing.
