Come Home is dedicated to the millions of Eritreans who fought and sacrificed their lives for freedom. On a hill in Eritrea, I met a man who urged me to return home one day, reminding me that my education, opportunities, and dream of becoming a director exist because others paid the price for them. He spoke of watching his brothers and sisters die beside them, fighting to protect our language, culture, and history from being erased. This film honors their courage and reminds Eritrean youth that we, too, must continue protecting our identity.
