I wanted to create a documentary without any interviews. Whilst researching, I came across the city symphony, which is a style from the 1930s that links music with different moments of the (utopian) city life. Bristol, where this documentary was filmed, is a very musical city - it's where the sound system culture started in the UK, which led to EDM genres like drum & bass and trip-hop. However, I wanted to explore as many different genres of music and musicians as possible, to see how they are inspired by the city.
