The film delves into the rich history of CLUB 82, the first drag club in NYC, and its subsequent countercultures. Within Club 82 was a space for queerness and expression in the arts, fashion, and music to thrive. From this came the early beginnings of drag, punk, and all things anti-establishment. The purpose of filmmaking is to "capture the times". It's now 2026. American democracy is at risk, Queer people are being stripped of their rights, and conservatism is at an all time high. While chaos ensues, Club 82 plans for a spring 2026 reopening. History always repeats itself.
